Two women, walking and talking

The Proclamation Project of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) exists to equip and empower Disciples preachers to proclaim the good news.

By providing preachers with new resources, collegial support, and opportunities for education, the project helps Disciples preach the good news in their congregations and beyond.

The Proclamation Project has four key focus areas:

Resources

Sermon series and liturgy materials, articles on relevant topics, stories about the preaching life, and many more resources are available in our Resource Library and in For the Messengers, our monthly email.

Events

In person and online events feature high quality preaching and educational opportunities from Disciples preachers and scholars.

Cohort Groups

Groups of preachers gather to learn new techniques, reflect on the preaching life, and receive sermon feedback from their peers.

Support for Bivocational Preachers

Modest grants are available for Disciples preachers who are serving a local congregation in addition to holding another job. These grants can support continuing education, purchasing resources, or time away for planning and retreat.

The Proclamation Project is an initiative of the Office of the General Minister and President and is funded by the Lilly Endowment, Inc.
