The Legacy Preaching Series is a collection of video interviews on the craft and theology of compelling preaching. Hosted by Rev. Dr. Frank A. Thomas as part of the Compelling Preaching Initiative at Christian Theological Seminary, the series brings together renowned African American preachers in conversations that go beneath technique to the deeper questions: What does faithful proclamation require? What is the relationship between a preacher’s life and the word they bring? What does it mean to preach with authority and with love?
The interviews are available as a YouTube playlist and can be used for personal study, continuing education, or as a resource for preaching groups and homiletics courses. Aspiring preachers will find models worth studying; seasoned preachers will find companions for ongoing reflection on the work they have given their lives to.
