Beyond: Love Surpassing is the Proclamation Project’s sermon and worship prep resource for General Assembly Sunday 2026, designed to help Disciples preachers and congregations enter GA ready to explore the theme of God’s surpassing love together. The resource is built around Ephesians 3:14–21 — a prayer for the church to know a love that surpasses knowledge, one that gathers all things to itself and breaks down every wall of hostility.

The resource includes a scriptural reflection contributed by Rev. Dr. Lance Pape (Granville and Erline Walker Associate Professor of Homiletics at Brite Divinity School), along with Consider This questions for sermon preparation, Disciples At Work connections to Reconciliation Ministries and Week of Compassion, In Your Own Context congregational prompts, a For All Ages and Abilities children’s moment, a Call to Worship, and a closing Prayer.
